The National Diversity Practitioners Institute (NDPI) is a 3-day, in-person intensive designed for educators, administrators, and school leaders who want to sharpen their skills and deepen their practice in creating equitable, just, and inclusive school communities where all members feel a sense of belonging.

Led by long-tenured school administrators and nationally recognized diversity practitioners, this highly interactive institute offers a balance of skill-building, strategic planning, and reflective practice, all within a supportive community of peers.

The program includes:
  • A framework for equity and justice best practices
  • Skill building for effective leadership, including facilitation, change management, and strategic planning
  • Tools for personal exploration and growth based in identity development
  • Guided planning time with support from institute faculty
  • A formal year-long mentoring and support program
  • Opportunities for networking and resource sharing

Who Should Attend?

While many participants are diversity directors, NDPI is intended for anyone with responsibilities for advancing equity and justice in their schools. Past cohorts have included several roles, such as:
  • Diversity directors and coordinators
  • Deans
  • Admissions directors
  • Teachers
  • Deans of teaching and learning
  • Curriculum coordinators
  • Division heads
  • Development directors
  • Assistant heads of school
  • Heads of school

NDPI 2025 reignited my drive to be fully prepared and intentional in this new DEI space.
